Ladies Away Weekend information 
 

When: 3pm Saturday 16th November – 6pm Sunday 17th November

Cost: £140 per person for a fully catered overnight stay; including tea/coffee on arrival, dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday, morning coffee/tea, Sunday Roast Lunch, afternoon tea/coffee.
Rooms: 30 people accommodated in a mixture of single, double or twin rooms. 1 room has 3 single beds.

Day visitors: £45.00.

Possible FAQ's

• Do I have to stay?
  • ​No. with the proximity to Guildford some women may prefer to go home and come back in the morning. We encourage as many as possible to stay so that they have the ‘full’ experience.
• Can I pay in several payments?
  • Yes, we ask for a £45 deposit by the 6th October with the balance by 6th November.
• What if I want to come but can’t afford it?
  • ​Please speak to Rev Kate Whiting who may be able to find funding. We don’t want any women left behind  due to lack of funds.
• Can I sponsor a place for someone?
  • ​Absolutely! Just let us know how much you would like to donate towards another reservation.
• Can I bring my children?
  • Depends on the age of the child. No babies. There will not be any children’s work or babysitting provision. If the young person will benefit from the retreat and is possibly 14+ then why not?
• I have special dietary needs. Can you feed me?
  • Yes, the centre has wonderful food and caters for all needs. The food is substantial and no one will go hungry.
• I have mobility, health issues.
  • There are a variety of rooms available on the ground floor plus the building is wheelchair accessible.
• I can’t get there.
  • Maybe we can arrange a lift for you.
• Is this event exclusive to QE Park Church group or will other groups be there?
  • ​The weekend away is primarily for women who attend QEPBC. However, family and friends are welcome to attend too. No other church will be participating in our event.
• I have reserved but I now can't make the date. Can I get my deposit back? 
  • Up to 2 weeks before the event, yes. After that depending on whether we can fill the space.
• What happens if I have to cancel at the last minute? 
  • ​Depends on the circumstances.
• What are the insurance arrangements at the site? 
  • ​This is a professional event centre with all the required insurances and compliant with Health & Safety and COSH requirements. It is EH rated as 5*.
• What are the insurance arrangements from the church for my attendance at the event?
  • ​None you are travelling under your own cognisance.
• What is the agenda? How many sessions will there be? On what topics?
  • There will be a variety of worship, teaching, group activities, individual activities. More will be revealed during the Welcome Session!
• If there is a minor in the group, would there be subjects which we might have to refrain from discussing?
  • ​The teaching will be appropriate to the women and young people in the room.
• Will I be expected to attend every session?
  • ​This is YOUR weekend retreat. You can chose to come to all or none of the sessions.
